Our
clients are interested in a
wide variety of storage-related services. Most relationships begin with
a no-charge consultative session whereby we discuss our client’s
requirements and gather information on their ultimate goals.
Thereafter, we tailor and propose a “Scope of Work” listing the
services to be provided and the agreed set of deliverables. Sample
engagements might include:
- Customer workshop focused on
Storage industry trends, technologies, and vendors
- An infrastructure assessment
whose deliverable is a document describing the existing
situation and proposed recommendations for improvement or cost
savings
- A consulting engagement
involving senior IT management and business leaders to formulate
and document the enterprise information management strategy
- A consulting engagement
involving a subset of the IT organization to research and
evaluate storage technologies and services options
- A consulting engagement focused
on preparation of an RFP/RFI and evaluation of vendor responses
- An operations assessment whose
deliverable is a document describing current operational
procedures and recommendations for improvement or cost savings
Engagements can range from a
“quick in, quick out” assessment or validation, to longer-term
engagements, depending on the scope of work, client requirements and
budgets.
